HARRABY CC moved to within two points of the top of the table with a 3-1 success over Ashington Colliers.

The Cumbrians took an early lead they worked a short corner to Matthew Read, who flashed in a low centre for Ashley Combe to crash in from six yards despite keeper Craig Towart getting a hand to the powerfully-hit shot.

Read turned provider again just before the break as he crossed for Dan Anderton to thump a left-footed volley into the roof of the net.

Ashington enjoyed more possession in the second half and they pulled one back when the pacy David Brown was sent tumbling in the box.

Shaun Gibson coolly tucked away from the spot, sending home keeper Dan Casson the wrong way.

But Harraby sealed the points in the 84th minute when Blamer beat two men down the right and whipped in a low centre for Dean Armstrong to tuck away.
