ENGLAND one-day captain Alastair Cook hailed every member of his side after their emphatic win over Pakistan. The tourists romped to a 130-run victory, Cook leading the way with a career-best 137.

The Essex opener underpinned England's 260 and then unleashed the pace of Steven Finn - his 4-34 was also his ODI best - to see off Pakistan's first four batsmen.

The outcome was in little doubt thereafter and England finished the job with 15 overs to spare.

While he refused to get carried away after just one win in a so far disappointing tour, Cook was delighted with the display.

He said: "It is always good to start off the series well and to play close to our potential - which I don't think we have done on this tour - is really pleasing.

"I thought one to 11 were outstanding.

"We all know the fickle world of cricket. …
