MARK Wahlberg is still throwing punches in heist thriller Contraband, but he reckons he's mellowed since becoming a father.

Just maybe not when it comes to vain actors.

C[pounds sterling]First of all, I hate actors who sit there and talk about how tough they are and that they do their own stunts, meanwhile they've been sitting in a make-up chair for an hour and they keep looking at themselves in the mirror,C[yen] he said.

The Contraband actor and producer said he's been cutting down on doing his own stunts since baby number one arrived in 2003. He will do them if he needs to, but said he is not the C[pounds sterling]thrill seekerC[yen] that he use to be.

Fortunately for Wahlberg none of the stunts in Contraband were too dangerous.

C[pounds sterling]I got to kick the crap out of a bunch of people, but I wasn't really in harm's way,C[yen] he said.

Wahlberg's character in Contraband, a legendary ex-smuggler named Chris, also puts his family first, having given up a life of international smuggling to settle into domesticity with his wife (Kate Beckinsale) and two young sons. …
