BMX: Bundaberg BMX Club, which is looking forward to another big year, will hold a free come and try day at its Airport Dr facilities as part of the sport's national sign-on day on Sunday.

Last year was a big year for the club, with star rider Jade Parker winning a world championship in Copenhagen, along with Australian and Queensland titles.

The club also hosted a successful state championships in September.

BMX is a great fitness sport and is open to all ages from four years upwards.

The free come and try day will run from 9am-noon and club secretary Mandy Finch said all anyone needed to do to participate was to come along with their own bike, helmet, long pants and long-sleeved shirt.

aJust by riding our track on the day you will receive a free sample bag with hat, bike grips and more, while stocks last,a Finch said.

aBMX is a sport the whole family can enjoy for fitness, or you can take it to the next level at a state, national, world and Olympic level. …
