SPRINGFIELD residents will have regular buses to Richlands train station when the new 535 bus route starts on Monday.

Transport Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk said the new route would travel between Orion, USQ, Springfield Lakes and Richlands train station.

aThis brand new bus service will provide a vital connection for Springfield residents to trains from Richlands until the $475 million rail line corridor to Springfield opens next year,a Ms Palaszczuk said. aThe buses will run 155 times a week and provide 7305 weekly seats.a

From Orion Springfield Town Centre, there will be eight morning peak buses and six afternoon peak buses. From Richlands train station, there will be seven morning peak buses and 10 afternoon peak buses.

Bundamba MP Jo-Ann Miller said the route 535 buses would service emerging developments including Education City and give residents an alternative to the park a[approximately]n' ride at Goodna train station. …
