AFL: A quick chat with a C[pounds sterling]pissed offC[yen] Jonathan Brown has eased Brisbane Lions coach Michael Voss' mind after his captain emerged from more facial surgery.

There were fears for Brown's long-term AFL future after he suffered a horror head knock for the third time in 11 months in a training collision on Wednesday.

Brown underwent surgery on a fractured cheekbone on Wednesday night but is expected back at training on Monday Co and on the field by round three.

Voss said neurological tests had been booked for Brown and he would not rule out his champion forward playing with headgear.

But the Lions coach had every faith in Brown getting back to his best after bumping into his skipper yesterday.

C[pounds sterling]I would probably say he was a bit pissed off,C[yen] Voss said. C[pounds sterling]I wouldn't cross him in the next 48 hours.
