TERRY and Ian Brill, Meg Brill (nee Cartwright) and Wayne Cartwright are banding together as a family to support the Leukaemia Foundation.

Calling themselves Goldilocks and the Papa Bears, they are planning a major shave-off on April Fools Day (Sunday, April 1) at Kalka Palms Bar & Grill, corner Water St and Lakes Creek Rd, North Rockhampton from 2pm.

Meg Brill is a 32-year-old mother of two, who with her father Wayne Cartwright, grew up in Moura.

C[pounds sterling]I have always wanted to shave my head and raise money for a charity and this year it just made sense, even though we have a wedding to go to two weeks later,C[yen] Meg laughed.

Meg's father-in-law Ian Brill has had his beard for 31 years, which he is trying hard to hang onto.

Ian was asked to shave his beard for a fundraiser for his fishing club some years ago, but as they failed to raise his $2000 target, he escaped the shears.

Goldilocks and the Papa Bears are now hoping a lot of Rockhampton people will pay to see him clean shaven. …
