THE prognosis on his troublesome elbow is likely to determine when Braydon Smith takes the next step in his promising boxing career.

Smith recorded his second victory by TKO in as many bouts as a professional on Saturday in the pro fight night at Rumours International.

The near-capacity crowd of about 1000 spectators were right behind the Toowoomba fighter as the referee stopped his featherweight fight against Thailand's Denprakarn Sithsaithong two minutes 23 seconds into the third round.

Smith battled tennis elbow late in his preparation for Saturday's fight and his trainer and father Brendon Smith was keen to have the stress injury assessed.
