RYAN Bowman scored a penalty then missed one, both in a dramatic final five minutes, as Darlington were denied a first win since December.

"When the first penalty went in to put us in the lead, I was the happiest man in the world," said the 20-year-old striker. "Then it was agony to see the second one saved."

But Bowman was a hero rather than villain in a sensational end to the 1-1 draw with Luton.

He was too hot for the Hatters to handle and scored from the spot on 85 minutes after being felled by Godfrey Poku.

And after Stuart Fleetwood equalised three minutes later, Quakers were awarded another spot kick when Bowman was again brought down by Poku in the last minute of added time.

This time Luton keeper Mark Tyler, who was sent the wrong way for the first penalty, reacted smartly to save after Bowman fired the same way.
