TOOWOOMBA'S Olympic hopeful Sally Kehoe is confident of beating a back complaint as she strives to win a ticket to London during the 10-day Australian rowing selection trials.

The trials begin tomorrow at the Sydney International Regatta Centre at Penrith and run until Sunday week, when selectors name Australia's rowing team for the London Olympic Games, which start on July 27.

Kehoe and former Toowoomba rower Pippa Savage will be among seven women looking to win a seat in Australia's quad scull Games boat.

But while Savage performed strongly at this month's Australian championships in Perth, where she reached the single sculls final, Kehoe's selection trial build-up has been anything but smooth.

A niggling back injury forced Kehoe to withdraw on the opening day of the championships.
