IT'S voting day! Not that you are likely to forget. Polling booths open at 8am and close at 6pm sharp and are located at many local schools, church halls or public buildings in our communities. When you enter the polling booth, if you have any queries direct these questions to the polling official who will assist. Refer to the Australian Electoral Commission website for all details: aec.gov.au.

SHOW PRIDE

ONE of Warwick's favourite events is back this weekend with gates open from 6am at the Warwick Showgrounds. It's show time in the Rose City. Today watch the woodchop events and rodeo from 6pm.

Tomorrow there will be team penning, a big horse show and heavy horse program as well as all the excitement of sideshow alley and family favourites. And for those in the west, Jandowae will showcase the jewels in its crown at show day today.

ART SHOW

CREATE your own indulgent weekend at the Toowoomba Grammar School Art Show at 24 Margaret St today from 10ama5pm and tomorrow from 10ama4pm.

There's something for everyone with investment artwork talks at 11.30am and indigenous artwork talks at 1.30pm. If you're lucky to have tickets to the high tea, just enjoy!

WIZARD OF OZ

LET'S walk the yellow brick road to the Empire Theatre for The Wizard of Oz from now until April 1. See Dorothy in her ruby red slippers, Tinman, Lion and Scarecrow and the antics with the Wicked Witch.

PEDAL POWER

THE roads around Meringandan, Goombungee and Toowoomba will see some of the best bikes for the Queensland Road Teams Series today and tomorrow. Cyclists will compete in road team trials, road race, 12km circuit and will finish with a 50-lap event at 2pm tomorrow afternoon at the Glenvale complex at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. …
