CRICKET: BRADLEY Quinn is struggling to be fit to play in the Fraser Coast Cricket A-grade final on Saturday.

While he'll be disappointed if he cannot play for Hervey Bay's Bushrangers against Maryborough's Past Grammars, you won't hear him complain.

Cricket is just a game after all and the 28-year-old all-rounder is simply happy to be alive.

Quinn, a leg-spinner and top-order batsman, was involved in a crash in Maryborough a couple of weeks ago.

One of his legs got stuck in a door of his car in the accident and he ended up with damaged ligaments.

Not surprisingly, that ruled him out of the all-or-nothing elimination final against Hervey Bay rivals, Cavaliers.

The game never happened though.

Rain caused it to be called off and Bushrangers advanced to the grand final because they had finished second on the ladder, one place higher than Cavaliers.

But Quinn still wouldn't have played in the premiership decider against Past Grammars, the minor and defending premiers, had the game gone ahead as scheduled at Maryborough's Newtown Oval last Saturday. …
