Mary Examines Our Irish Roots

Article excerpt

A FULL house of eager participants attended an Irish research seminar at the Cooroy Noosa Genealogical and Historical Research Group's rooms at Cooroy last weekend.

Conducting the seminar was Irish research specialist Mary King, who had travelled from the Queensland Family History Society for the occasion.

She explained the intricacies and difficulties of this particular research, and offered many suggestions to overcome these difficulties.

Ms King also provided a great insight into the history and events taking place in that area over the centuries.
