OPPOSITION Leader Tony Abbott dared to put his big hairy toe over the line when he dissed Prime Minister Julia Gillard's ill-fitting jackets and caused a furore in doing so.

It wasn't his fashionista comment that put him over the edge of decency and politeness. The comment attacked that most sacred of topics Co a woman's weight. It was kinda funny when the mature little woman talking to Abbott told him to C[pounds sterling]do something about those jacketsC[yen] and it was even a bit humorous when Germaine Greer commented Ms Gillard couldn't wear the jackets because she had a big A. Why? Because it's true.

But a man agreeing publicly? Why that's just outrageous. Mr Abbott is a man of influence. He has the power to turn every female-offending male in the country into a polite, politically-correct and white-lying white knight.

If used correctly Mr Abbott could use his power to mend every fractured relationship in the country. …
