READERS of The Morning Bulletin will receive better-tailored news coverage from Monday with the launch of a news and information service tasked with providing a regional perspective on state and national issues.

APN Australian Regional Media, publisher of The Morning Bulletin, will launch APN Newsdesk, a string of reporting bureaus based in Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra. Editorial director Shane Rodgers said the Newsdesk team would report on state and national issues, focusing on the impacts on the regional audience APN serves in Queensland and New South Wales.

APN Newsdesk reporters will provide reports, pictures and video for the group's 12 daily regional newspapers, 58 non-daily titles and 30 websites, the major source of local news and information for more than a million people from Mackay in Central Queensland to Coffs Harbour on the New South Wales north coast.

The Morning Bulletin will also publish more content from other regional areas, providing unique coverage and insight into our dynamic and growing regions. …
