TO celebrate the launch of its Easter programme, Culture Club members have the opportunity to win a family pass to Bede's World, along with a delicious cream tea for up to four people in the caf, located in historic Jarrow Hall.

There's so much going on at Bede's World this Easter so it's a good time to go.

Younger visitors can get creative by decorating their own mini Easter egg, try their hand at Easter-themed craft activities, meet the new chicks and goslings on the farm and explore the museum and farm on the fabulous Easter egg trail, where they can win a prize.

Visitors can also join in the spirit of Bede's monastery and the Second Glance Peace Exhibition by posting thoughts and prayers on the Contemplating Peace Wall.

There will also be a chance to create a token of your hopes for peace, or make a peace offering from clay to give someone.

Easter celebrations at Bede's World continue with a bang this weekend April 7 and 8, when the museum hosts the 68th Durham Light Infantry Society, who will stage drill displays and give visitors a glimpse into the life of one of The Duke of Wellington's famous Red Coats regiments from the year 1814. …
