LOOKING for a great day out this Easter? Here are some ideas for you or the whole family: Gisborough Priory Woodland Gardens Fun from 1-3.30pm on Easter Monday, April 9. Visitors can choose from two treasure hunts that will take them all over the gardens in their search for the secret signs.

There will be small chocolate egg prizes for all successful treasure hunters.

There will also be some Easter crafts to try, all materials provided. Visitors may make their own Easter bonnet or disguise themselves as an Easter bunny, chick or lamb with their own hand decorated mask.

The newly created storytelling area, with its rustic storytelling chair set in a tree-shaded spot, will be used for the first time for seasonal stories read by one of the Gisborough Priory Project volunteers.

There will be free entry to the gardens through the Gisborough Priory entrance on Church Street between 1pm and 3.30pm. Alternatively, visitors may enter through the gate at the end of the Bow Street Centre car park.

Ormesby Hall Cadbury and National Trust are once again teaming up to bring the magic back to the Easter weekend by offering enchanting Easter Egg Trails in the North-east. Set in the grounds of some of the area's most beautiful locations including, Ormesby Hall and Gibside on Tyneside, Easter Egg Trails are a Cadbury twist on the classic Easter egg hunt. Follow the clues, answer the questions and complete the challenges to find your way to a special Cadbury prize. Each trail is unique to its host and offers fun and games ideal for all the family such as face painting, giant snakes and ladders, sack races and much more.
