Gas repair blamed for lunchtime blast A GAS explosion rocked several streets in the Newtown area of Stockton. The house where the explosion occurred, number 11 Newtown Avenue, had the whole of its front blown off, but the six occupants sitting in the kitchen having lunch, were unharmed.
