Tamworth Easter AMT and OJT Tournament

A large number of Coffs Coast tennis players headed west over the ranges to the country music capital of Australia a Tamworth a to contest the annual Easter Tennis Championships.

Nineteen players from the Coffs Coast participated with over 260 players contesting the event.

This was one of the largest fields ever to play the Tamworth event and late nights were the order of the day.

Coffs Coast winners were Sawtell players Adam Berrada and Rhys Johnston, who defeated fellow clubmates Eli Baylis and Callum Neal in the special men's doubles 8-3.

From the Westside Tennis Club, Lily Pade played some excellent tennis to take out the under-10 girls event, by defeating Sydney junior Claire Wilkinson 6-0 in the semi, and then Gunnedah junior Madison Hagan 6-1 in the final. …
