A FRENZIED hokey pokey dance with potentially hundreds of participants will mark the end of the 2012 Tweed Valley Anzac Fun Day.

Organiser Jennie Parratt said bagpiper Bob Sullivan would at this time make his ajaw droppinga appearance at the Hosanna Farmstay Stokers Siding event.

aHe comes down from out of the forest in his full highland regalia,a Ms Parratt said. aThe crowd's mouths drop, and all of a sudden there's no movement as this lone bagpiper plays as he wanders down the stairs, one step at a time.a

It will be a fitting conclusion to the Anzac Day event aimed at creating a welcoming family atmosphere.

More than 2000 people attended the 2011 event and this year 140 volunteers are working to make it a success again.

aIt's really shaping up to be the best fun day we've ever had,a Ms Parratt said. aI can't imagine any of those who came last year won't this year, so who knows how many will turn up?a

She said the day's focus was about including isolated or excluded people. …
