Trainers Not about to Pull out Due to Black Caviar's Presence

RACING: Mount Gambier trainer Wayne Walters isn't worried about the fact champion mare Black Caviar will be a starter in Saturday's Group One Sportingbet Classic over 1200m at Morphettville.

Walters said he would nominate the lightly raced Donnindi Sulina for the Classic after the mare won her fourth race from six starts in taking out race two at Naracoorte in country South Australia yesterday, a lowly benchmark 60-plus handicap over 1200m.

The trainer must have based the extraordinarily-ambitious decision to take on the world's best sprinter on the same philosophy used by Victorian trainer Robert Smerdon who also plans to send his quality galloper Lone Rock around against Black Caviar.

Smerdon told bloodstock.com.au that he wasn't expecting Lone Rock to deny the wonder mare an Australian record of 20 consecutive, but said he believed his mare could race well on one of her favourite tracks.
