WE ALL knew Carl Barron's One Ended Stick show was going to be good Co as was evidenced by an extra Gladstone show and subsequent sell-outs.

And the comedian sure didn't disappoint on Tuesday night.

The comedian had a country childhood, growing up in Longreach and is the son of a shearer.

This background, plus his first career as a roof tiler, provides plenty of inspiration and self-depreciating C[pounds sterling]Aussie yobboC[yen] jibes.

Laughter was constant throughout the two hour show (no intermission) as Carl kept bringing out the good stuff, whether that was observations of his daily life, Aussie temperament or his experiences growing up.

Carl's lengthy career and experience as a stand-up comedian is obvious.

His casual demeanour on-stage and chatty style makes the audience comfortable and attentive throughout the show. …
