Pool Ready to Join the Party Fun at Valley

HARTLEPOOL fans will no doubt be hoping their favourites can ruin Charlton Athletic's League One farewell party, but manager Neale Cooper says their hosts will be cracking open the bubbly come what may.

Charlton have not only clinched promotion to the Championship but have done so by winning the League One title.

Now on the final day of the season, they will be aiming to add the cherry on the cake by breaking the 100-point barrier with a win over Hartlepool.

However, Cooper's men will go down to the Valley with something to say about that, having performed well on their travels this season - although the Pool boss expects the Londoners to bring out the balloons and bunting regardless of the result.

He said: "I don't think we will really ruin the day whatever happens because they have done so well this season and they will be a great addition to the Championship. We will go there and want to put in a good performance - away from home we have often performed better since I have been back at the club, but it is difficult to put your finger on why. …
