SCHOOLGIRL Morgan Seaton has raised hundreds of pounds in memory of her late grandmother.

Morgan was only two-months-old when her grandmother died of breast cancer. But the 10--year-old is determined to help others by raising cash for Breast Cancer UK.

Morgan amazed family and friends when she came up with the idea of a sponsored walk and roped in her schoolfriends.

And, last week, they all joined her on the three-mile route in memory of grandmother Sylvia Kelly, who died shortly after Morgan was born.

"My event raised more than pounds 600," said Morgan, a pupil at St Lawrence RC School in Byker, Newcastle.

"I'm sure my nana was watching over us when we walked. I know she would have been proud of me, and I now want to raise pounds 1,000 for her."

Mum Julie Kelly, of Walker Dene, Newcastle, who also has daughter Jasmin, 18, added: "Morgan is an unbelievable little girl who is a great inspiration for her generation.

"She really does believe that she is saving lives by raising money for Breast Cancer UK. …
