Get Lowdown on League Dragons Are Tipped to Win; All the Weekend's NRL with the Gympie Times and Tony Durkin

Article excerpt

THE Gympie Times rugby league analyst Tony Durkin give us his thoughts on what's left of Round 10 of the NRL.

TONIGHT

BRONCOS V SEA EAGLES

Suncorp Stadium, 7pm

HEAD-TO-HEAD: Played 34; Broncos 17, Sea Eagles 16, draws 1

LAST MEETING: Sea Eagles 26-14, preliminary final, 2011

For the Broncos to get back in to the winning list, deputy halfback Ben Hunt must direct play as well as he did against the Raiders a month ago.

His opposite, Daly Cherry-Evans, will give him no latitude.

Although down on troops, the Sea Eagles are starting to roll back into form and will be tough to beat.

The affect the physical hiding from the Warriors last week has on the Broncos forwards will be the telling factor, as will the availability of Justin Hodges.

BULLDOGS V TITANS

ANZ Stadium, 8.45pm

HEAD-TO-HEAD: Played 8; Bulldogs 5, Titans 3

LAST MEETING: Bulldogs 28-6, round 12, 2011

The late inclusion of Scott Prince and Beau Champion gives the Titans an outside chance of causing an upset.

Without their little general, the Gold Coast boys are leaderless, and no hope. As gutsy as they have been, positive results are avoiding them and last week's golden-point loss could be the final straw.

The Bulldogs, on the other hand, are bristling with confidence and have slipped quietly in to the top four. Their big forwards have been scarily destructive.

TOMORROW

WARRIORS V ROOSTERS

Mt Smart Stadium, 5.30pm (AEST)

HEAD-TO-HEAD: Played 29; Warriors 16, Roosters12, draws 1

LAST MEETING: Roosters 26-8, round 5, 2012

Was last weekend a flash in the pan, or have the Warriors turned the corner?

Outstanding and brutal against the Broncos, their forwards will need to dish up more of the same to tame the impressive Roosters pack.

The Roosters have quietly climbed the ladder and were impressive last weekend.

While the forwards will dictate the result, the clash of Shaun Johnson and Mitchell Pearce in the No.7 jerseys is mouth-watering.

KNIGHTS V COWBOYS

Hunter Stadium, 7.30pm

HEAD-TO-HEAD: Played 26, Knights 16, Cowboys 10

LAST MEETING: Cowboys 22-12, round 18, 2011

Is this the weekend the hot and cold Cowboys clock off? …
