THEATRE will head into the great outdoors in Middlesbrough once again this summer.

Middlesbrough Theatre has announced details of its new open-air theatre season which will take place in Stewart Park following its re-opening after a recent makeover.

The season includes two performances in its new events space, adjacent to the old stable block.

But the action will also take place in central Middlesbrough, in mima gardens, for the season's annual Shakespeare production.

People are advised to bring their own rug or low-backed seating and dress warmly.

This season's line up is: The Railway Children Saturday, June 30 - Stewart Park Heartbreak Production take to the stage with their version of E Nesbit's classic children's tale, above. Mysteriously separated from their father, Bobbie and her family relocate to Yorkshire.

With the all-important railway running through the local community, the children piece their family back to life. …
