POLICE: WOMAN PULLED KNIFE IN ROAD RAGE

A Green Cove Springs woman is in jail after a man who cut her off in traffic was rammed and threatened with a knife, authorities said.

The road rage incident occurred April 19 followed by Julie Ann Sarver Johnson's Wednesday arrest on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, aggravated battery and criminal mischief, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

It started during the morning rush hour on Wells Road with Sarver Johnson, 42, getting cut off, according to her arrest report. The other driver, 53, said Johnson then got in front of him and slammed on her brakes. When he tried to get past, she rammed his driver's side door, he said.

He pulled into a vacant parking lot followed by Johnson, who got out of the car and approached him aggressively with a knife, he told deputies in the report. As he sped off, his vehicle was gashed with the knife.
