RUNNING: Thirty students and staff from Warwick State High School will volunteer their services at the 10th annual Warwick Pentath-run on May 26-27.

The event has attracted 330 nominations so far and race director Robert Stewart expects numbers to pass last year's record of 550.

C[pounds sterling]A lot of the locals and juniors sign up on the day,C[yen] Stewart said.

C[pounds sterling]Some visiting runners leave it to the last minute and wait to see the weather forecast.C[yen]

The Warwick High team will be involved as volunteers from registrations at WIRAC on Friday afternoon to the presentations at the same venue at 12.30pm on Sunday. Stewart said most of the students helping out were in Year 12.

C[pounds sterling]Pattie King will be the official organiser of the students during the event,C[yen] he said.

Commonwealth Games marathon medallist Steve Moneghetti will contest all five events in the Pentath-run and will be speaker at the Saturday night dinner at WIRAC. …
