THE Girl Torque women's motorcycle group will pay tribute to fallen friend Pamela Boal by leading the motorcade at her funeral on Friday.

Ms Boal, who rode with the Sunshine Coast-based group for 10 years, was killed last Tuesday when a car and her bike collided about 15km east of Chinchilla.

The 52-year-old was returning from a charity ride from Barcaldine to Broome with her husband of three weeks, David Hedger, to attend his father's funeral.

Her death has left the members of Girl Torque shattered. However, the group's founder, Helen Knight, said members had banded together during the difficult time.

C[pounds sterling]Pamela started riding with us when she lived in Nambour, but even when she moved she would always come back because she just loved riding with us,C[yen] Ms Knight said.
