SHOT OF THE DAY

Tim Clark, the 2010 Players champion, made only the second eagle-two at the par-4 seventh hole Friday when he used a 5-iron from 179 yards, hitting out of the left fairway bunker. The hole was playing 428 yards long. The only previous 2 at the hole was by Rich Beem in 2008.

STAT OF THE DAY

.401: Percentage of players who hit the green in regulation at the par-3 eighth hole, which played 241 yards in the second round. The average first putt or chip to the hole for the field's second shot was 61 feet, 5 inches.

HOLE OF THE DAY

The par-5 16th hole frequently plays the easiest of any on the Stadium Course. Not during the second round. The field still averaged under-par at No. 16 at 4.784, making it the third-easiest on the course. There were five eagles, but the front-right hole position, close to the water, resulted in 15 balls hit into the water that resulted in 20 bogeys, one double bogey and two triple bogeys
