RUGBY LEAGUE: Jack Smith won the players' player award as the Warwick Cowboys went down 44-22 to Brothers in yesterday's Toowoomba Rugby League A-grade game at Glenholme Park. Smith also received two points in the TRL Player of the Year award.

Brothers led 22-0 at half-time.

Jesse McIvor played his first game this season and scored two tries in the centres. Back rowers Eamon Brownlie and Scott Fisher scored the other tries. Michael O'Keefe landed two goals and Ben Carter one.

Warwick club secretary Garry Hanson said the Cowboys made a lot of bad errors in the first half.

Brothers won reserve grade 32-10. Fisher and John Trindall scored tries and Don Miller landed one goal.
