IS THERE anything better than a rich tomato pasta on a cold night? I doubt it.

Spaghetti bolognaise is definitely a staple dish for me during the colder months but I do like to mix it up a little. This super-rich cannelloni dish is an easy one to pull off and a delicious pasta dinner.

I usually cook it using conchiglioni a large pasta shells a but in the absence of those I went with the trusty old cannelloni shells which work just as well.

If you decide to use conchiglioni, you will need to cook them in boiling water until they are not quite tender, before you stuff them. Most cannelloni shells are made ready to cook with the pasta a little bit thinner, but just check the packet to make sure.

From there, it is the same process as in this recipe a making sure all of the pasta is covered with sauce so it doesn't dry out in the oven. …
