THE Discovery Coast is lobbying the new LNP Government to go a step further on the region's roads and link boom town Gladstone with Agnes Water via a new coastal route.

Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett opened his account in State Parliament with mentions of the tourism strip from Baffle Creek to Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy last week. He urged his colleagues to spend the $10 million needed to floodproof the roads that regularly leave the communities isolated and scare off tourists.
