Braxton Tees off Too as Golfers Dig Deep for Hospital

LITTLE Braxton Paton is just 14-months old, but he'll be out at the golf tomorrow.

The cute fellow is the face of Brax's Charity Golf Day, which was inspired by his difficult birth and raises funds for the Mackay Hospital Foundation.

The first charity day last December raised $13,000 which has enabled the hospital to buy a second CPAP machine, similar to one which saved Braxton's life when he was born last year.

His grandfather Allan McLauchlan said Braxton suffered from Maconium aspiration at birth, requiring him to be respired by the CPAP machine.

C[pounds sterling]There was only one machine at the hospital at the time and it was being used on another child,C[yen] McLauchlin said.

C[pounds sterling]We thought we might have to take him to Brisbane, Townsville or Sydney, but luckily the other child improved enough for Braxton to go on it.C[yen]

Braxton has since thrived and his parents Ryan Paton and Rachelle Blues will take him out to the golf club tomorrow to meet some of the people taking part in the fundraising day. …
