Where: Brolga Theatre, Lennox St, Maryborough

What: See some of the top-placed brass bands from Australia and New Zealand perform in Maryborough as the city hosts the 2012 Queensland Brass Band Championships.

A gala concert Saturday night and a colourful street march on Sunday are the highlights of this annual event. Also featuring will be the NSW Fire and Rescue precision drill team and special guest, New Zealand musician Ricki McDonald.

Saturday night will feature a fun concert showcasing the top two A-Grade bands in Queensland, Brisbane Brass and Brisbane Excelsior.

The street march on Sunday will start on the corner of Bazaar and Kent streets at 8am, and will finish at the City Hall in Adelaide St.
