THERE have been plenty of horse racing luminaries at Corbould Park in the lead-up to and during the Brisbane carnival.

Trainers Anthony Freedman, John Sargent, Michael Moroney, Peter Snowden, Danny Williams, Paul Jenkins and Graeme Boyd are just some of the sport's identities to have be seen at the Sunshine Coast venue.

A few of them have runners at Eagle Farm today, when Queensland's biggest race day will be held.

Look out for Snowden's leading trio of Pinwheel, Tunes and Academus. He also has Mental.

Sargent has St Germaine along with Choice Bro, Largo Da Barra and Quintessential, the latter going for the Oaks/Derby double.

Freedman has Boban and Mawingo, the latter going for the Doomben Cup-Brisbane Cup double.

Can't take a trick

FOR the first time this season (we think) the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles have actually started as favourite among bookies for an Intrust Super Cup match.

But the stricken side still couldn't bag a win against the struggling Capras on home soil and was forced to settle for a 20-20 draw. …
