Top Shed but Men Still Need Power on; WORK IN PROGRESS: Lots to Do at Men's Shed HQ

THE members of a local community group are elated after the completion of their new shed and headquarters.

Coral Coast and Bundaberg Men's Shed treasurer John Murdoch said the construction of the 9.2m x 20m shed at Windermere Rd was a welcome boost for the groups, who were still recovering after a robbery cost them loose tools and equipment earlier this year.

"We're over the moon,C[yen] Mr Murdoch said.

C[pounds sterling]We had to jump through a lot of hurdles to get the grant for the shed but now it's all systems go.

C[pounds sterling]The team from McHugh Steel have done a wonderful job with the construction.C[yen]

Mr Murdoch said the grant had been a long process but the group was glad to finally see their shed built.

C[pounds sterling]It's as rare as hen's teeth to receive a grant to build a shed,C[yen] he said.

C[pounds sterling]But we managed to receive the funding from the State Government last year. …
