UF MEN WIN NCAA OUTDOOR TRACK TITLE

Make it three national championships this academic year for Florida.

The UF men's outdoor track team won the NCAA Outdoors Track and Field Championship Saturday afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa. Florida also won national titles in women's tennis and men's indoor track and field earlier this year.

The Gators finished with 50 points, edging LSU by two.

UF became the first school since Arkansas in 2003 to win the national title in both men's indoor and outdoor track.

Florida has won 29 national title in school history and 20 under athletic director Jeremy Foley. The Florida State men finished fourth.

WHITE'S JOHNSON SIXTH IN DREAM 100

White sprinter Tristie Johnson finished in sixth place on Saturday in the adidas Girls Dream 100 meters in New York.
