Swans and Devils Fail to Gain Upper Hand

RUGBY LEAGUE: Gympie coach Kris Kahler says the Devils will take a lot of positives from Saturday night's 22-all draw with Maroochydore as they prepare to face Caboolture next weekend.

The Devils and the Swans drew for the second time this season on a balmy evening at Jack Stokes Oval, and Kahler said despite the ball not going his side's way at times, it was another pleasing performance.

aIt was a good result for us. We dominated early and were probably unlucky not to score a few more points, but they came back at us,a he said.

Gutsy forwards Riley McDowall and Billy Rogers were in everything for the Devils and their mentor said he couldn't have asked for more from the duo.

aThose two blokes are good for me every week and our little halfback Dave Cutler was also a really good performer for us,a Kahler said. There is no love lost between Caboolture and Gympie following the Snakes' triumph in last year's grand final, and there is bound to be plenty of feeling in Saturday night's fixture at Caboolture. …
