WERE you anywhere in the vicinity of Coffs CBD last Thursday night and thought you felt the ground moving?

No, it wasn't an earthquake.

It was 1000 Hilltop Hood fans crammed into the Plantation Hotel to listen to them play songs from their latest hit album Drinking from the Sun, and many of their old beats as well.

Coffs Harbour was the first stop for the Hilltop Hoods' Speaking In Tongues national tour.

I am guessing that they enjoyed it as much as the fans that were there on the night.

Kicking off the night, before the Hoods, was young, talented MC Briggs to warm up the crowd and play songs from his debut album The Black List, followed by the two guys from Horror Show who kept the crowd moving.

With a small break between Horror Show and what we really came to see, the crowd started thickening on the floor.

Then the Hilltops Hoods took the stage, playing one of their many new songs from their latest album that got the crowd pushing further forward a if there could be any further forward a to be as close as possible to the boys and mosh along. …
