Double Celebration of All-Ages Music Live at Down to Earth

IT'S BEEN a big few weeks for Down to Earth Events.

With the suspension of live gigs at Open Studio, there's definitely a feeling that they may have lost a battle a but they haven't lost the war.

This weekend sees a celebration of all-ages live music with the double bill of Buried in Verona and Make Them Suffer.

Buried in Verona

Touring on the back of their new album Notorious, Buried In Verona have worked long and hard to build the kind of underground fan base that will catapult them into the general public's musical consciousness.

The band underwent a serious transformation in 2010, acquiring three new members and becoming a full-time touring act.

While the core of the band remained intact a vocalists Brett Anderson and Ritchie Newman and drummer Chris Mellross a guitarists Sean Gynn and Nate Martin and bassist Daniel Gynn came on board to add some chunk.

aTouring has been way more fun and the writing is now shared among all of us, instead of just one or two dudes,a drummer Chris Mellross said. …
