RUGBY LEAGUE: A Mackay teenager is following in the footsteps of Bulldogs sensation Ben Barba.

Souths' junior rugby league player Kyle Krisanski-Kennedy has signed for the same NRL club as former Mackay player Barba.

Krisanski-Kennedy will move to Sydney at the end of the year. He has signed a three-year deal with the Canterbury Bulldogs.

His signing comes after being identified playing for Capricornia last month at the under-18s four-day rugby league cup championships in Maroochydore by expert talent scout Noel Cleal.

Krisanski-Kennedy, 17, a fullback or halfback was man of the match in his side's second game.

It was his performance in that match, his father Brett said, which sealed the Bulldogs signing for the emerging player.

aAt the championships Noel approached Gavin Orr, Kyle's player manager and signalled some interest then,a he said.
