SO LET'S be clear about what's going on here Co the state approves massive developments on behalf of private enterprise, whether the council or ratepayers like it or not. These projects then leave ratepayers with multi-million-dollar debts for infrastructure. Adding insult to injury, the state's answer to pay for the developer profits is for council to sell off ratepayer owned land, most likely to the same private enterprises, so they can build more unsustainable developments and create more problems. …
