WARWICK Farm-based trainer Matthew Smith will send his first ever runner to the Grafton Carnival in an attempt to plunder the rich NBN Inglis Bonus Plate (1200m) today.

Smith has sent Zin Zan Eddie for the race in a bid to secure the $50,000 Inglis bonus available to horses sold through the various Inglis auctions held around the country each year.

aHe's a nice young horse and he ran on well to take third at his debut at Warwick Farm,a Smith said.

aI'm not sure if I'll come up myself at this stage but I hear it is a great carnival and if we have a bit of luck I'd love to come back with more horses next year.a

Zin Zan Eddie rattled home from the tail of the field on debut to narrowly miss claiming Secret Delight and Headless over 1000 metres on a slow track. …
