When the sun shines bright high up in the sky When the tears stop falling from my eyes And when the aching pain in my heart forever dies Then I can start living once more But until then I'll wait for the one I love Who's in a far off country called Afghanistan Fighting some very silly and also very stupid And bloody war But only time will tell if and when That bloody war will end And only time will tell if I'll ever see That love of mine again So with a hope, a wish and a prayer That I say each and every day My loved one might just come back Into both my waiting arms and heart DONALD JOHN TYE, Wallsend.
