SURF Life Saving Australia (SLSA) and Dulux are giving happy snappers the chance to win $1000 for their favourite surf lifesaving club and $250 for themselves by taking a photo of their club.

Surf clubs are a wonderful symbol of Australian culture, encompassing our love of the beach and resilience, standing tall through rain, hail or shine. They are a critical safety service.

Each year volunteer surf lifesavers, paid lifeguards and rescue services perform more than 11,000 rescues around Australia's coast.

Plus the cherished surf club buildings are perched on some of the most picturesque places in the world.

So Dulux and SLSA want photographers to get out there and take pictures of their club in whatever weather condition, to promote the beauty of the club raise awareness and possibly raise funds.

The competition runs until November with five winners, one each month.

It is part of a bigger initiative started by Dulux in December, because many of these treasured buildings were becoming dilapidated. …
