ANDREW Walker's return from injury may be just the boost Fassifern needs as they look to rebound from last week's loss to Goodna by beating a desperate Norths tomorrow.

Walker was a late withdrawal last weekend from the Bombers team last weekend which was also without regular backs Tye Johnson, Jack Mounsey and Nemani Suguturaga.

The injuries caused a shuffle in the Bombers backline with Isimeeli Hafoka slotting into playmaker, while winger and competition leading tryscorer Cameron Pennell moved to fullback.

The Bombers backs tried hard but lacked the direction provided by the dual international and also struggled in defence against a powerful and aggressive Goodna side.

One player who felt the pain of the Goodna forwards was Matt Bon.

The front-rower has been good this season, forming a strong combination with his forward team mates but felt the power of the confident Eagles forward pack last weekend.

Bon said his team was keen to put the Goodna game behind them and Walker's return would go a long way to helping them secure a win over Norths.

C[pounds sterling]We were a bit flat at stages and allowed them to take control of the game.

C[pounds sterling]It really has made this game a must-win if we want to hold on to that second spot.

C[pounds sterling]Unfortunately, we still have a lot of injuries but Walk's is back and a couple of boys will step up from reserve grade so we are feeling pretty good.C[yen]

Bon has been a mainstay of the Bombers forward pack this season, providing go-forward in attack as he runs off Walker and Kali Naque's good short balls.

The tall forward has also formed a strong combination with forward team mate Teutau who has been in powerhouse form so far this season. …
