Mum's the Word for Gun-Toting Son

THE United States is a marvellous country, full of natural beauty and nice people.

However, there are some negatives in a country where the right to bear arms is instilled in the constitution.

Toowoomba mum decided to visit son in the US.

She gave him a hug at the airport, but noticed there was a large bulge under one arm. He matter-of-factly remarked that it was a gun.

Apparently, the trip home from the airport can be fraught with danger where people shoot at cars for no apparent reason. Mum is very happy to be back in Australia.

What the...!!!

DAD still shaking his head about modern television.

His daughter took over the television the other night and dad decided to watch her program for a while.

The show was about this model who formerly had links to a star cricketer.

Imagine his dismay when the show centred on our model's health regime which included an enema.

The shots of the model sitting on the toilet made for some stunning television.

Our dad reckons TV shows couldn't sink any lower.

MOWING worker was spotted in a bizarre stand-off the other day as he tackled a rather overgrown footpath aboard his trusty ride-on lawnmower.

He had mowed most of the sidewalk, only for his momentum to be halted by a pile of rubbish sitting in the long grass.

Worker stopped the ride-on and paused, staring down the rubbish that lay in front of him.

For a second, it actually appeared he was going to dismount his trusty steel steed and ado the right thinga.

But those hopes were rapidly dashed as worker floored the lawnmower, running straight over the rubbish and leaving a confetti-like shower of paper, plastic and styrofoam in his wake.

Mission accomplished.
