DREAMING Sitting, reading, dreaming Of things to do today Not just shopping or housework But really get away. I could climb a high mountain Ski down the other side Maybe go on an airplane And travel far and wide. A hot-air balloon floating along Or a rocket to the moon A camel ride in the desert Yes - but it's teatime soon. I'm exhausted travelling around the world Good job I just do it in my head But it takes me lots of places Before I go to bed.

Sitting by the fire On a cold winter night Your mind can take you anywhere And show you the sights.

THE FUTILITY OF WAR Who gives the politicians the right To send our troops to a foreign land To fight a foe, they don't even know Fighting a war, they don't understand There's plenty of trouble in England Without going looking for more Sending young soldiers out to die Fighting someone else's war And while the countries are at war It is our brave soldiers part To clean up all the troubles That the politicians start Wives and mothers sit at home Sobbing when the newsreader says The dreaded sad announcement "Another of our soldiers has died today" G SNOWDON, High Farm. …
