IN conditions vastly better than predicted, 23 competitors contested the July monthly B.R.E competition.

As would be expected at this time of year the majority of competitors taking bream with most fish around the .5kg mark. Richard McCabe also had luderick, mulloway and tarwhine. Dayne Taylor took bream and won largest flathead with a released fish of 83cm, about 6kg. Well done Dayne. Our juniors again fished well. Jack Nolan had bream, garfish, mulloway 1.6kg, and the biggest luderick .73kg winning the Urunga Butchery prize. Trent Timms took bream and tarwhine, Jack Mitchell had bream and flathead .66kg. Noah McCann caught bream and luderick, Nicky Harry had flathead and luderick. Jake Van Haren had bream and won the kids' draw. Nick French caught a lonely whiting and luderick while Brock Russell took bream and tarwhine. Zoro Hutchby had bream .63kg, tarwhine and a winning drummer of 1.97kg.
